Kinds of Essays

An essay is, by definition, a composition that offers the writer’s opinion, frequently using strong words, about a specific matter, and also the scope of this view is wide-ranging, but sometimes obscure, overlapping with that of a personal letter, a report, an guide, and pamphlet, and a short story. Descriptive essays start with a topic and name, and then go on to describe this subject in several different ways. One way is to simply tell what the subject is all about, another would be to give a brief description of this field, and yet a third method is to develop the conversation somewhat. The essay could go on to explain what different terms mean, the way the discipline evolved over time, or mention who’s involved in the field.
